Two different worlds.
Texas Hill Country, 1864.
Eleven-year-olds Tom and Stefan Spiess, free boys of color, are tossing a baseball when Comanches attack. As their parents are slaughtered, Tom is taken captive, though his identical twin Stefan escapes.
Tom grows into a full-fledged warrior named Far Stones. Stefan embarks on a decade-long search for his twin, undaunted by the struggles he endures as an orphan of color in frontier America. However, he is not prepared for the wide gap he finds separating him and his brother, of three cultures in tragic conflict. Throughout, the love each boy has for the nascent game of baseball abides.
